Kanye West is producing a seven-song album for Chance The Rapper
Following the success of Kanye West’s seven track album and Chance The Rapper‘s recent engagement to his longtime girlfriend there has been much of the chatter surrounding both artistes. Now, the Chicago rapper apparently has even more exciting news to share with fans as a collaborative project with Kanye West is actively in the works.
On Wednesday (July 11), the “Big B’s” rapper appeared on Windy City Live to reveal that he’s in the process of cooking up new heat with Ye later this month.
“Kanye West is my first image of a free black man in the industry and I always loved him for that,” Chance said. “Working with him on his album was crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago and work with me was crazy. This month, we’re working in Chicago.” Although he was light on the details of what to expect from the project, he did note that the new music is “very very personal,” citing the way his life has changed since he became famous.
In a space of five weeks, Kanye West put out 5 albums solely produced by him and containing seven songs each. Nonetheless, a Yeezy-produced Chance album could make for a triumphant return for the deft lyricist, considering his last project Coloring Book is well over two years old.
